Booyah, a visual novel in Flash! High five!
I'm a little biased towards this genre, but even so, I can see you've put a lot of work into this game. The art is high quality, the story is interesting and original, and the Cooking Mama-esque gameplay bit worked nicely (although I do agree that the stirring segment is a little unforgiving). All in all, a well polished, tight game, and I expect to enjoy the chapters to come.
A short, charming game. Good art, music, and story. I see nothing wrong with it, besides it's length. Great way to spend five minutes.
It's a nice game. Soothing music, nice graphics, and tight mechanics.
An issue I had with it was the upgrade jump between the 2500 and 7500 upgrade: it's a bit too much. You get stuck with mining gold and iron, just barely scratching the level with wolfram until you get the best cooling liquid there is, and only then can you dig deeper. Also, unlike its inspiration, you can dig straight upward, which takes away some of the foresight necessary for digging. These are all minor gripes, though. It's clear quite a lot of work went into this game, and it's a nice way to spend a few hours.
One gripe
As it has been here for many years, I don't expect this to change, but I've always wished this game had a crosshair so I don't keep moving the cursor offscreen. But it's a great game, and always has been.
An amazingly fun experience
This is waaaay up on my list of the best flash games I've ever played. The graphics and art style are good. The game itself isn't too hard, but there's just enough difficulty to be fun. The new enemy types each level or two are quite refreshing, and the bosses were varied and sometimes pretty amusing (Rocket Snail in particular made me laugh). The various upgrades let you choose your play style. Of course, as said by many before me, what I really liked was the writing. The characters are deep, convincing, likeable, and funny. When you talk to them, you really feel like you're getting to know real people. All I'm saying is this is one of the greatest flash games- nah, one of the greatest games I've ever played! Thank you for making this!

Anyways, It's a great animation/game. Both this and "Escaping the Prison" were hilarious ways to waste some time.
